I’m Carolina, and here is my story
If someone had told me in my early 30s that I’d be a therapist one day, I would’ve laughed (or had a panic attack - or both). Back then, I was struggling with anxiety that felt like an unwanted, permanent house mate. When, out of sheer desperation, I finally decided to drag myself to counselling, I was a total sceptic. I genuinely couldn’t wrap my head around how sitting in a room talking to a stranger for an hour a week was going to make anything better.
I was very, very wrong.
That hour a week became the foundation of my life today. Through counselling and psychoeducation, I learned to understand myself, embrace self-compassion, and finally start living authentically. And somewhere along that journey my anxiety evaporated.
Eventually, I fell in love with the process so much that I decided to train and make it my life’s work.
Today, I work as an Integrative Counsellor to support others find that same footing. My approach is relational, neuro-affirming, trauma-informed, and holistic. I believe wellbeing isn't just about what's in your head - it’s about the mind, body, and spirit working together. Whether we’re discussing the science of the nervous system, exploring the power of breathwork, or leaning into the healing vibes of nature, music, and animals, I’m here to support you in a way that feels real and human.
Healing isn’t about 'fixing' yourself; it’s about creating the right environment in which you can flourish. I created Wellbeing Meadow to be that space for you - a place to ground yourself, catch your breath, and finally grow into the person you were always meant to be.
Qualifications and experience
I began my educational journey with a BSc in Applied Sociology and Psychology (2009). This gave me a good understanding of how the world around us can shape and affect our individual experience. I followed on with an MA in Human Rights (2012). I wanted to save the world from itself, but quickly became disillusioned and eventually resonated with the saying ‘Be the change you want to see in the world’.
So I started to study my own behaviour and that of others, and began my counselling training (with a little help from Anxiety). So far this is what the journey looks like:
CPCAB Level 5 Understanding Neurodivergence and Trauma (2026)
Foundation in Counselling - The Open University (2025)
CPCAB Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (2025)
CPCAB Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Studies (2020)
CPCAB Level 2 Certificate in Counselling Skills (2019)
I am fully insured, and a registered member of the National Counselling & Psychotherapy Society (NCPS). I follow the NCPS Code of Ethics, which emphasises integrity, respect, inclusivity and keeping your best interests and needs at the heart of the work. Alongside my formal training, I have volunteered with SAASS supporting survivors of sexual assault and abuse, work which I am very passionate about.
I am committed to developing my practice through ongoing learning and reflection.
